报道了由LD泵浦的Tm∶YAP激光器的研究工作。Tm∶YAP 激光器采用波长为793 nm的 LD进行端面泵浦,腔内声光调Q运转。当激光工作重复频率为300 Hz、输入泵浦功率为37.07 W时,获得了最大单脉冲能量为17.06 mJ、脉冲宽度为26.9 ns的1936 nm激光输出,相应的峰值功率为634.2 kW,在目前已报道的该晶体峰值功率数值中较高。在最大泵浦功率下,激光器在水平和垂直方向上的光束质量分别为1.41和1.34。此外,在激光器连续运转下,采用双法布里-珀罗标准具对激光波长进行调节,光谱调谐范围1932.11~1942.07 nm。

2 μm波段激光用途广泛,既可以应用于激光雷达、激光测距和医疗手术等领域,又可以作为中长波红外波段激光器的泵浦源。采用激光二极管直接泵浦掺铥晶体获得2 μm波段激光,是一种直接高效的技术手段,受到了广泛关注。本文介绍了Tm∶YAG、Tm∶YAP和Tm∶YLF脉冲激光器的研究进展,并进行了总结与展望。

We demonstrated a high-power long-wave infrared laser based on a polarization beam coupling technique. An average output power at $8.3~\unicode[STIX]{x03BC}\text{m}$ of 7.0 W was achieved at a maximum available pump power of 107.6 W, corresponding to an optical-to-optical conversion of 6.5%. The coupling efficiency of the polarization coupling system was calculated to be approximately 97.2%. With idler single resonance operation, a good beam quality factor of ${\sim}1.8$ combined with an output wavelength of $8.3~\unicode[STIX]{x03BC}\text{m}$ was obtained at the maximum output power.

In this Letter, we demonstrate a diode-pumped electro-optical cavity-dumped Tm:YAP laser for the first time to our knowledge. A pulse width of 7.1 ns is achieved at a wavelength of 1996.9 nm. A maximum output power of 3.02 W is obtained with a pump power of 58.8 W at a repetition rate of 100 kHz and a high-voltage time of 1000 ns, corresponding to an overall optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 5.2%. In addition, we study the effect of repetition rate and high-voltage time on the output power characteristics of a cavity-dumped Tm:YAP laser.
